How to Ask for Referrals from Medical Doctors

Posted by 1 on

There isn’t a single chiropractor or physical therapist in business who doesn’t know that referrals are the single best way to build patient enrollment. If you aren’t asking for referrals from your clients, you should be and if you aren’t asking for referrals from medical doctors, you should start doing that too. Asking for referrals from medical doctors can seem tricky but it’s actually a fairly simple process: Step 1.Build relationships of trust with medical doctors. You can’t ask for something if you don’t have a relationship with them. Step 2. Come to a general understanding of how they help patients and how that is similar to what you do. This is part of building a trusting relationship, but it’s importance can’t be overlooked. You’ve got to understand one another. Step 3. Offer to send them referrals. Be honest about the fact that while most of your patients experience relief and healing with your treatments some of them might need different interventions. Let the doctor you are working with know that you feel confident sending patients their way when necessary. Step 4. Ask if they’ll return the favor. This might be the hardest part, but you won’t get what you don’t ask for! How do you ask for referrals and build patient enrollment? Are you ready to see your spinal decompression practice take off?
